Ken traveling with Dr. Henry Cloud, leadership consultant and the author of books such as Necessary Endings and Boundaries for Leaders.
Ken Hensley entered vocational ministry in 1991 and has served as a senior pastor, church planter, and ministry coach. Starting out as a 21-year-old senior pastor, Ken has served churches ranging in size from 75 to 1,200 in great places such as Atlanta, San Diego, San Francisco, and Denver. He currently leads a team of 16 staff members.
In the late 90’s, Ken co-founded a company that helped nonprofits raise money online. Then he joined the early team at Christianity.com, in the “dot-com” days when the donuts were free and you could take unlimited ping pong breaks.
He has served as a catalyst for church planting in Colorado through Church Planters of the Rockies. In 2014, he helped launch Bridge of Hope, a Denver nonprofit that brings together local churches and single moms on the verge of becoming homeless. He earned his MBA in 2021.
Ken loves the local church and enjoys helping pastors reach their full potential.
Pastoral Experience that Benefits You
Senior Leadership
We've sat in your chair. We know what it's like to recruit, hire, train, and fire people. Over 30 years of ministry, we've raised money, completed building remodels, developed ministry systems, worked with paid staff and volunteers, and much more.
Starting New Things
We know what it's to start a new church - from assessment to launch. We've planted new churches and served on management teams for new churches. We've also launched new ministry initiatives and for-profit businesses.
Marketplace
In addition to our work with churches, our team also has years of experience in the marketplace. We've worked in start-up environments as well as established businesses. We've coached, consulted, and developed teams.
What if your ministry team lived by these five commitments?
– A commitment to trust each other
– A commitment to help each other
– A commitment to being teachable
– A commitment to practicing self-care
– A commitment to seeking solutions first
Each day we’ll unpack one of these five team-transforming principles. You’ll get great, practical teaching and a chance to interact with other senior leaders.
